Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSMs) are exchange visits in a host organization located in a different country than the country of affiliation by a Researcher or Innovator. STSMs aim at supporting individual mobility, strengthening existing networks and fostering international collabor


Since 2018, Aedes Invasive Mosquito (AIM) COST Action (Project ID: CA17108) has promoted European networking and collaboration between the researchers, public health professional, and the public so as to increase harmonisation, preparedness, and capacity for surveillance and control of AIM vector species.

We have the pleasure to inform you that the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie (IZSVe) has organized an online course “Mosquitoes, Phlebotomine sand flies and ticks monitoring: traps and capture techniques” which is now available.

This course focuses on the main techniques for monitoring ticks, mosquitoes, and phlebotomine sand flies, and aims to provide knowledge on how to plan sampling and which tools to use.
